A Reddit user went viral after sharing two stunning images of Uranus taken by NASA’s James Webb telescope.

One of the shots, taken in September 2023, shows a completely new view of the bright blue planet amidst the vast blackness of space. In addition, some of its 28 moons are also visible in the photo.

The second photo shows a close-up of the planet, and its rings can be seen more clearly, including the Zeta ring, which NASA describes as the “extremely faint and diffuse ring closest to the planet.”

In the post’s comments, internet users admitted they were impressed by the shots. “This is crazy. The mix of stars from our galaxy with distant galaxies from deep space and Uranus appearing right in the middle,” said one Reddit user.

“I will never stop being amazed. The [James Webb] just can’t stop capturing galaxies everywhere,” said another. “Both photos are breathtaking. I had no idea what Uranus looked like. I’m still struggling to believe this is a real photo,” wrote a third.
